Allan Pozzobon Seminar Post author:Murilo Costa Matsunaga Post published:October 25, 2025 Post category:Uncategorized Post comments:0 Comments Allan Pierre Bonetti Pozzobon presents a dual-focused initiative, in collaboration with his team at NUPEM/UFRJ MacaĆ©, leveraging cutting-edge molecular techniques for both marine biodiversity research and technology transfer. The presentation features an innovative academic study on metabarcoding applied to ichthyoplankton “bulk samples” from the Campos Basin in Rio de Janeiro, offering an efficient genomic approach for monitoring fish communities in this crucial marine environment. Complementing this research is the development of an entrepreneurial service called EcoDNS (Sustainable Environmental DNA). This service is designed to translate the team’s genomic expertise into a practical, commercially viable solution, offering innovative biodiversity monitoring based on eDNA and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) specifically tailored for environmental licensing demands. This initiative, which has secured support through the FAPERJ “Entrepreneurial Doctor Program,” successfully bridges fundamental marine ecology with technological innovation for environmental sustainability.
