Marya Muylaert is an undergraduate student in Biological Sciences and her research focuses on the development of a fish egg catalog for the Northern Fluminense region. Her work aims to improve taxonomic identification of fish eggs using molecular genetics, particularly through DNA barcoding of the mitochondrial COI region.
