The presentation covered my academic trajectory and the main lines of research pursued throughout my training. Initially, I presented work conducted during earlier stages of my career, highlighting my doctoral research, which focused on developing methodologies to incorporate receptor flexibility into molecular docking experiments using the DockThor program. I discussed the challenges associated with accounting for protein structural dynamics in docking studies, as well as the computational approaches proposed to enhance model robustness. I also presented my contribution to the development of the Soybean Expression Atlas V3—a project carried out at UENF under a CNPq DTI-A fellowship. This initiative involved mining and processing RNA-Seq data and integrating it with gene association studies to build a platform designed to support soybean breeding.
In the second part of the presentation, I introduced the research project currently underway at NUPEM, which investigates zygotic genome activation (ZGA) and the role of pioneer transcription factors in regulating this process. I outlined the study’s objectives and the methodological strategy—based on integrating genomic, epigenomic, and transcriptomic data—and highlighted the importance of understanding the regulatory mechanisms involved in early embryonic development and the evolutionary conservation of these processes.
