Allan Pierre Bonetti Pozzobon

Summary

I got my bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho- UNESP (2010) and my master’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the same institution (2012). My PhD was in Environmental Sciences and Conservation program from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, UFRJ-Macaé Professor Aloísio Teixeira campus (2018), working with the systematics and phylogeography of the fish genus Brevoortia, with a closer look at the species from western south Atlantic waters. Currently, I have a postdoctoral fellowship (process: E-26 / 204.315 / 2021) at the Carlos Chagas Filho Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ), the projects main objectives are to test and implement the protocols of New Generation Sequencing (NGS) for survey the biodiversity of ichthyoplankton (fishes larvae and eggs) in different island complex, looking to improve biological survey, with a less impactive sampling and a more robust identification of individuals obtained.
