Bruno da Costa Rodrigues

Summary

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences – Genetics (2017), and a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences – Biophysics (2019), both from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), where I am currently a PhD candidate in Morphological Sciences.  My research focus rely on how dynamical mechanisms of cellular metabolism regulate development and physiological balances in animals.  During my PhD, I study how post translational modifications and epigenetic factors shifts during Tribolium castaneum development, and what are the implications of their misbalance. I also conduct research on the following topics: 1) Evolutionary aspects of metabolic pathways and their conservative aspects in Arthropoda 2) Role of glycosylation on regulation of transcription factors during insect development 3) Alterations on glycophenotype profile of Drosophila melanogaster induced by differences in gravity.
