Sara Fernandes Astori is a Biomedicine undergraduate student at Estácio de Sá University (UNESA) and a Scientific Initiation volunteer at NUPEM/UFRJ. She has experience in cytopathology, microbiology and cell biology, in addition to having worked as an intern at the Naval Polyclinic of São Pedro da Aldeia (2022–2024). She was president of the Academic League of Biomedical Sciences and creator of the Young Scientist project (2019–2023), with scientific production in the areas of microbiology and immunology.
