Summary

I have a degree in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (2016). Specialist in Ecology and Biodiversity from Universidade Cândido Mendes (2020), Master in Environmental Sciences and Conservation from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2019) and PhD student in Science Environmental Studies and Conservation from the same university. During my PhD I have been working with Ecology, Taxonomy and Genetics of insects of the Simuliidae family, but I also have experience with the Culicidae family.  I am also interested in Zoonoses. My PhD project has as the major goal to characterize the diversity of Simuliidae species in different areas (forested environment and non-forested environment with land use for livestock) and also to use the DNA barcoding technique as a tool to characterize this diversity.
