Tiago, an undergraduate student in Biology, presents his research interest in understanding the mechanisms of pseudopod regeneration in Parhyale hawaiensis, an amphipod crustacean recognized as a powerful model for developmental and regenerative biology. To investigate how regenerative capacity varies across different life stages—juvenile, adult, and senescent—Tiago plans to establish controlled laboratory cultures of P. hawaiensis. Specimens will be collected and reared from pre-hatching embryos, allowing continuous monitoring and precise staging throughout their ontogeny.
