Frank Lyko visits NUPEM/UFRJ in partnership with the Nunes-da-Fonseca Lab and IBqM/UFRJ
NUPEM/UFRJ welcomed researcher Frank Lyko, an international reference in the field of epigenetics, for a lecture aimed at the academic and scientific community.
The visit took place through a partnership between the Nunes-da-Fonseca Lab, at NUPEM/UFRJ, and Professor Marcelo Fantappie, from the Leopoldo de Meis Institute of Medical Biochemistry at UFRJ.
During the activity, Frank Lyko presented innovative approaches for the analysis of epigenetic marks and discussed how this information can be applied to different areas of biology and biotechnology, including studies related to the quality and traceability of food products such as meat, milk, and cheese.
This initiative strengthens the integration between NUPEM/UFRJ, IBqM/UFRJ, and leading international researchers, expanding opportunities for scientific training, institutional collaboration, and the development of new technologies.
